I have been working professionally as a freelance lighting cameraman and underwater cameraman for over fifteen years, both in this country and on location abroad. I enjoy the challenges encountered daily working in diverse situations. I have great breadth of experience in many genres of film and television. However since 1998 I have specialised in underwater camerawork. My love of wildlife photography was rewarded a hundred fold when I filmed underwater for the first time. On land most creatures fear man and are hard to get close to. Underwater, there is no such fear and many creatures positively relish our company. This is both thrilling, and photgraphically exilarating.
My objective is always to capture the finest images possible.
I have extensive experience with a large range of cameras and camera applications including 16mm and 35mm film. Video: RED, HD, HDCam, Digi Beta, DVCam and mini cams. I have worked with high speed cameras, underwater cameras, specialist lenses, car mounts, dollies, cranes and helicopter mounts. I can now also provide editing facilities on a powerful laptop edit suite.
